Implementation of BoostWorker for the optimisation of the management of telework in the HR department.

In the era of telework, many companies have faced the challenge of maintaining control and monitoring of their employees' activities, while ensuring privacy and respect for the autonomy of each worker.

Introduction

This is the context in which CloudAPPi found itself, a leading Cloud and APIs consultancy firm whose workforce merges the hybrid model and full teleworking. CloudAPPi has more than 50 employees, some of them in other countries and parts of Spain with 100% working mode, so the control of the productivity of each worker becomes crucial for the company.

For this reason, it decided to implement BoostWorker, a check-in/check-out and activity monitoring tool, in order to optimise telework management without invading the privacy of its employees, thus increasing their daily productivity.

CloudAPPi needed a tool to automatically check in and check out employees working from home.

Thanks to this feature, it is easier to keep track of employees’ daily productivity, especially in cases of poor performance or unreported absences, without having to constantly monitor and review all screens.

This prevents any kind of physical capture and limits access to information to the HR department only.

How the implementation of BoostWorker improved productivity at CloudAPPi

To achieve its initial objectives, CloudAPPI implemented BoostWorker, an application specifically designed to increase the productivity of employees in teleworking mode. This is achieved thanks to different functionalities, being the check-in and check-out the most required by the consultancy. In addition, it also offered the possibility of monitoring activity on each employee’s corporate laptop at 5-10 minute intervals during working hours.

Therefore, the main elements of the solution were:

Automated Check-in and Check-out: BoostWorker registers by one click the start and end of the working day, allowing employees to comply with their schedules in a flexible way and without the need for additional reporting. In this way, employees can also be in control of their working time, adjusting their daily hours to their optimal start and end times.
Occasional activity monitoring: always respecting employee privacy, the tool allows for activity monitoring, which is only reviewed in two situations:
- When there are absences without report by the employee.
- In the event of a noticeable drop in performance, allowing the HR team to assess the context objectively before making decisions.
Restricted access: the information collected is protected and only accessible to the HR department, ensuring that only authorised professionals can review the activity monitoring when necessary.

Thanks to the implementation of BoostWorker, CloudAPPi managed to improve the productivity of its employees, in addition to other benefits that we highlight here:

BoostWorker reduced unnotified absences by 20% by facilitating discreet and effective monitoring.

With efficient, non-intrusive monitoring, HR was able to identify and resolve performance issues in a timely manner, resulting in a 15% increase in productivity in remote teams.

Engine Productivity Reporting

BoostWorker's productivity reporting allows the HR department to obtain monthly KPIs for absence activity analysis, percentage of most and least keystrokes and a series of reports that allow the HR department to analyse employee teleworking.
